Background
Meet KerryAnn. She took her curiosity for seeing how objects are built and turned it into majoring in software engineering. That constructed into a salesforce platform internship.
Question: What's been your career path while at Prudential?
Answer: As a salesforce platform intern, I also participated in various group projects surrounding emerging technology, such as graph databases and data analytic software. I joined full-time in July 2019 after completing graduate school. As a full-time developer, I have worked on projects using voice assistance, machine learning, and full-stack development.
Question: What excites you most about Prudential?
Answer: I am most excited about Prudential's ambition to promote new technologies and their devotion to diversity. At Prudential, I get a sense of innovation and can see their push to adopt modern software and hardware. I am equally as excited for Prudential's dedication to ensuring a safe and inclusive workplace for all.
Question: What are you passionate about as it relates to your work?
Answer: I am very passionate about workplace collaboration, especially when it comes to computer programming. It is always beneficial to have multiple job levels to review your code to make you a better programmer. At Prudential, there is also a strong sense of the diversity of knowledge, as I can always learn something new from co-workers.
Question: Any advice you may have for entry-level talent?
Answer: My advice is always to be open to learning new things and working with new people. I would also say always reassure yourself or seek help if you are unable to. Imposter syndrome is often brought up in the technology community; always remember to give yourself the credit you deserve!
